I have a set of campy brifters that I am thinking of trading. I can't tell whether they are Record or Chorus. They are ~94 vitage. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Ted.

First off those are Campagnolo ErgoLevers. They were given a name by their maker. I don't call sheldon's kids by whatever name I want. ErgoLevers.

End of rant. I think up to a certain point there were only Record EGOLEVERS. I'm not sure when but eventually there did develop distinctions between Record, Chorus et al, the Record ErgoLevers got drilled out on the up shift lever.

For the clarification. I clearly showed my ignorance there with the "brifters" bit. But no more... ErgoLevers forever!
Cheers,
Ted.

I double checked my catalogs, and those are '94 Record.
The chorus don't say "carbon" in white on the body.

The '93 record shifters look identical to the '94 chorus,
neither have the carbon body.

For those trivia buffs, '94 was the last year Campagnolo parts didn't carry
their model name. In '95 the ergolevers had the grouppo name printed on them.

cheers
