elite Drivo (original) still worthwhile?

Chain Reaction has the Drivo white for under $700. That seems like an unbeatable deal. Does anyone still use one of these and have comments to make about whether it's worth it today, or should I spent the $900 to get the direto xr?

Had Drivo and now Drivo II, to be honest, there's no discernible difference between two except the color. Both are still top range smart trainers, read dcrainmaker's reviews for more.

I know there were issues in erg mode early on. But that's reassuring. I'll order soon.

For reference, I just picked up a gen1 kickr.
The response isn't fantastic and it's kind of comical on rolling hills in zwift. The erg mode could be better.

But for the reasonable price I paid for something that does the job... I really can't complain.

Just go into it being aware of the limitations. Make sure you're okay with them or you'll be looking for something else soon.
