Now that I have made the foray into road /gravel tubeless, I need to supplement my flat kit. What are folks using to plug punctures too big for sealant to fix? The stans dart looks decent, but I figured I'd poll the audience before pulling the trigger. Thanks!

Happy Dynaplug Pill user here. Small and holds everything you need to plug that tire and keep going. This kit plus a co2 gets you back on the road without carrying a bunch of stuff.

One thing to note is the dart is really only for use with sealant similar to stans. With orange seal it’s not effective

Got a dart and a Topeak plug and both work fine for 3/4mm sized cuts or below. Anything larger and you’ll probably need to stitch and jbweld.

so from what I can tell, with the brass dynaplug stays in the tire. I guess it can be cut off when you get home. does the dynaplug only work with certain sealants?

I’ve used a dynaplug to fix 2-3 holes but always with Orange Seal endurance and had great experiences. One was in my commuter bike and it’s holding up excellently now for months.

The dart is probably the best available if you're on Stans. I have a bunch of these since I use Truckerco and they're great: https://www.wiggle.com/lifeline-tubeless-repair-kit

I'm carrying one of these

I like it because it contains plugs for small and large cuts. I've had very good results with the simple plugs. I learned that sometimes the larger size plugs are necessary.
