A distributor called Ochsner used to sell real Victorinox Swiss Army bikes. They were really expensive at wholesale. Like $2500 or something. It was always cool to see one in person at their offices or Interbike. But I've never seen one on the road. But I doubt the US arm of Victorinox/Wenger even brought them into the US. They weren't lightweight. I remember that much. Another cool one to see was the Bianchi Italian Military bike. With the machine gun on it.

It's like they had a contest to find the poorest pix and posted the winners.
They've been available for years. Sportsman's Guide has that model, 48 pounds, and the earlier version, 52lbs, for sale if you're interested. A friend has one of the older models with all the fittings that's a real pig but it gets a lot of attention when he takes it into town.

That derailleur shield looks like it means business.
What does it say on the down tube, "CON......."?
I thought it might be red and have a cork screw. :)

That actually seems like a good price for one of these if all the extra's are there. Be a neat around town bike.....hmmmm.....
Maybe it's time to move on the too small AMF and go for one of these...

More speeds, better lights, better brakes, better carrying capacity.....damn I'm tempted. :p
Heck the AMF is already 39 lbs.

Condor - could it have been made by Condor Cycles (https://www.condorcycles.com/) of London?
The wikipedia entry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss_army_bicycle) doesn't make it clear.

It's made by Condor of Switzerland. They made a few other models as well -- I have a fixed gear Condor from the early 60s.
