The first three days are covered live on NBCSN on my cable, as they have been for years now. But I see nothing beyond Monday on my cable guide. NBC website tells me most stages should be on NBCSN. What is everyone else seeing? Is this a glitch on my system? I mean, it's nowhere, Olympic channel or CNBC..

Yeah I bit the bullet and renewed the Cycling Pass with NBC Sports Gold, as after Tuesday it seems like they’re aren’t scheduled to show stages daily. Plus you get the ad-free Robbie McEwan broadcast, if desired.

I’d imagine they’ll probably be back to broadcasting on the weekends but who knows.

I wonder if the delay in the TdF from July to August-September convinced NBC management to drop daily cable broadcast coverage and just offer it via their subscription service? Their website states that there will be coverage on the NBC Sports Network, but no details are given about daily coverage.

Maybe it just hasn't popped up yet on the cable guide. I noticed the same thing as you on comcast. Sometimes it takes future programming a bit of time to appear in the guide.

I was just thinking about this.

$55 seems like it's $25 higher than last year?

FWIW I am seeing the same thing on Spectrum. I'm keeping my eyes on it and hoping for the best after Monday.

I thought that to, so I went directly the NBC Sports Network web page, and they don't show any TdF programming after Monday, either. Maybe the NBC Sports Network is behind in their programming schedule? Given the uncertainty in lots of sporting events this year, I wouldn't be surprised if NBC Sports is playing by ear on their program scheduling ...

I can’t find any tour coverage here in Canada. Usually no problem. I just searched it up and I read that FloSports has it exclusively.
I just signed up...then realized I was charged $201.00 ($150 US)for the year.

This sucks!!

Yes be careful with Flo. They make it seem like you are either paying for one month, or will have the option to, but you can only pay for the full year. Deceptive! I’d ask for my money back...

DVR is essential on west coast ...show starts 4:30am with the high mountain stages earlier. Always a bit of tension trying to finish the stage or be sommuting to the office (typically 8:30am-ish). Of course that is resolved this year.

The complete schedule is here: https://nbcsportsgrouppressbox.com/2020/08/24/nbc-sports-presents-live-coverage-of-the-107th-tour-de-france-across-nbcsn-nbc-sports-gold-peacock-beginning-this-saturday-august-29/

Summary-live commercial free on Gold, or the new app Peacock (4.99/mth), all stages on NBCSN but some will be summary shows and delayed; a couple stages on NBC.

Because I use xfinity dvr, I'll stick with the nbcsn.

Several years ago I set my Tivo to auto-record anything that includes the title "Tour de...."

And I just checked, Tivo (via Comcast) only lists three stages...

It's not like there's a lot of other live sports events vying for airtime... :(

I’m going to see if I can cancel after the the race is over for a pro rated refund.

For other Canadians, I purchased Nord VPN on advice from this forum and then NBC Gold Cycling Pass. I was worried NBC Gold wouldn't accept my Canadian credit card because Eurosport wouldn't when I tried, but NBC did.

I happen to like Phil Ligget and Bob Roll so I watched the version with commercials so I can get their commentary.

I kept the Sports Gold, watched the TDF this morning. Robbie McEwan & co couldn't get to France (lockdown in Australia they said), and they have two guys doing a very credible job of filling in on the no-ads broadcast.
Generally, it was the usual well done production, but NBC screwed up technically and the feed periodically and out of the blue switched to the women's tour. That was a great sprint finish, but not 5 or 6 times, randomly. Thankfully, they got this under control and there was no interruption of the mens stage 1 finish.
It was so great to see this race happening. I had not realized how much I missed seeing 250 red outdoor chairs rearranged to spell out "Vive la Tour de France!" for the helicopters. It had the banter, it had the fire. I hope it makes it all the way to Paris.

I noticed that Spectrum now is showing the first 5 stages on their guide. Initially, like others, they were only showing 3 on NBC Sports Network. I suspect we'll get all of the stages without having to pay to view.

I got the NBC Sports Gold pass for the first time with the expectation of hearing McEwen and Keenan - both of whom got rave reviews. Instead, the ad-free coverage is with Simon Gerrans and Anthony McCrossan.

My TiVo search picked up the first stage on NBC.

But I still don't see anything further on NBCSN...

Yup, finally showed up on mine. If we make it that far. Gawd, after the carnage today, a few guys are going to wish they had the flu and sat out.

I wish I could "add" some time. I've missed pretty exciting finishes even with 4.5 hours of recording.

The NBCSN website now lists cable coverage (NBCSN, NBC or CNBC) coverage for every stage.

https://www.nbcsports.com/cycling/tour-de-france?cid=TDFSEO

I don't know whether TiVo hasn't caught up yet with this change, as it's listing a pro football talk show tomorrow morning.

I set the dvr to record the football program. Hope I don't get the football program. :)

Interestingly, the local Comcast listing does show cycling in that time slot. Maybe this is just a schedule handoff issue between Comcast and TiVo...

https://www.tvpassport.com/tv-listings

Fingers crossed. If this is the case, I'll just manually set the dvr to record each morning...

If the Tivo's guide gets updated in the meantime and the football program disappears, your Tivo won't record anything in that time slot. A better bet would be set up a manual recording for the time and channel. That'll record what ever is on that channel in that time slot, regardless of what the guide says.

Excellent point, thanks!

I *do* have a Search/Record widget set, so that *might* pick up the change.

I'll set up the manual record on the other TiVo.

Why not DVR the live broadcast...?

Because my (admittedly limited) experience with the FiOS DVR is that closed-captioning gets completely eff'd up when you record a broadcast, and the missus requires CC.

Well, fortunately, this year, advertising is down a lot. But I almost shot my flat screen when they aired that really stupid Range Rover ad that is three years old at this point of the guy driving up those stairs and fist pumping at the end. Good lord.

Can anyone using the NBC Sports Gold Cycling Pass confirm that full stages are available on demand? ...i.e., I can watch them in their entirety whenever I want to? Or do they only stream/broadcast the event live, and I have to figure out some other way to capture/playback the program?

Thanks.
