Been looking for a couple of replacement cranks for various bikes/builds, and I'm having a beast of a time finding NOS in the brands/models I need.

The Praxis Zayante carbon looks interesting. Anyone have 'em? Pros/cons?

Thanks for any feedback!

I also have the alloy Zayantes and the only real con I can come up with is having to buy a new tool for their BB cups.

Hello! I have the Praxis Zayante Carbon cranks on two bikes. I just got done pedaling one today. Soon to be three bikes.

Pros: Best looking cranks on the market. High performing and light.

Cons: I dunno. Can you handle all that bling?

PS Customer service is outstanding! Ask for Vanessa.

I have the current carbon model with the cheaper rings 48-32 on my gravel bike.

Ordered direct from praxis and received them super fast!

I had zayante aluminum before. The carbon arms are thinner and curve less which means my shoes have a lot more clearance from the crank arm.

The bottom bracket is going on four years now and is buttery smooth.

Have the Zayante Carbon S. No complaints here to speak of with the crank arms or rings.

I do have a slight creak that I’m having trouble isolating though. I have checked all the usual suspects that aren’t BB related... a shop installed them for me so I don’t have the praxis tool required to remove and reinstall the BB which is annoying.

I've got the Zayante alu cranks on my Spectrum. The Praxis chainrings offer the best front shifting I've experienced!

I have the carbon cranks, bought as new take off here with 48/32 rings, after today's ride I have put nearly 3500 miles on them. They are excellent, as noted above the front shifting (with pre-2015 SR group) is really good.

After 1000+ miles I too began to have some creaking. Re-torqued BB…still there, then re-torqued the chainring bolts, bingo, noise gone. That's on me for not checking those bolts and assuming that NIB assembly would already be set to proper torque, I guess.

Recommend without hesitation, in fact I like the subcompact setup so much that I upgraded my other bike to Chorus 12 with 48/32.

I've got some older alloy cranks with the 32/48 rings on a gravel bike. Also have a set of the carbon cranks with a Power2Max power meter on them, and and set of the new carbon Zayantes with the proprietary spider.

All have been reliable and quiet, and shift well. With the new spider and the latest chainring design, front shifting is better--dare I say, Dura Ace level.

would love to find a set of Zayante 5-arm in 165. Haven't been made for a while and not seeing them available anywhere. Anyone know of a source?

I have a set too. They were take-offs I got in a box o' parts. Seem to work well. They don't do anything except be cranks, which is a compliment.

Running the 48/32's on my Seven with Ultegra. Best looking crank out there and shifts perfectly. Terrific value too.

Pros: Work great, shift well and easy to install!

Cons: Ugly, ugly, ugly! Loved the option of the original traditional styled chainrings, now they're f-ugly.

Compared to the current competition these look like Problem Solvers made them. Unrefined.

They cost hundreds less than comparable weight/performance cranks..can’t have it all.

I like em and don't think they are all that ugly. Praxis makes amazing rings too so they also have that going for them (if you gonna have to have proprietary rings, might as well have the best). My only problem with them and it has been mentioned here is the damn BB being propriety too, that just irks the crap out of me. 30mm on one side and 28mm on the other? why?
