Does anyone have experience with Brand-X frames?

I see them going for pretty cheap on Chain Reaction.

Considering a build of a rigid MTB frame if the niece shows continued and growing interest/ enthusiasm for riding.

Are they good value and minimal rework? Faced properly, good tolerances, clean threads, aligned BB?

Looks quite different than that specific Aliexpress frame. Drops and BB area are different and stays too.

Dunno if the Brand-X is also also sold on ALiexpress as I don't shop on that site.

given the price tag on the Brand-X, it definitely is a cousin of all those generic frames on Ali, not really a "brand". As the retail price is just barely higher than importing yourself + you get a retailer for quality/warranty issues, i'd say go for it cant be supoer horrible, and if it is, send it back...

I don’t have experience with Brand-X frame but i do have their zero setback seatpost on my bike. No nonsense component if u ask me but i guess it takes a real genius to screw up a seatpost i think. Cheap but also very heavy.

650 x 2.3 recommended tire and a 120/130 fork?

Gravel touring, maybe

Odd combo

Believe this writeup in CyclingTips is of the same make, if not model, as you're looking at:

seems positive. Heavy fork, BSA bb. Do wonder how different any of those frames are from, for example, the Kinesis 'winter' road frames from a while ago (audax?)
