Looking to get a new one.

I have 3. I don't like any of them. Two don't seal around the valve stem and one requires you slide a ring to discharge the gas but you need a 3 ton hydraulic press to do it.

What's a good one? Easy to operate, doesn't leak, presta. That's all I ask

Which 3 do you have?

The PDW Shiny Object has always worked just fine for me.

Just ordered this one (https://www.competitivecyclist.com/portland-design-works-tiny-object-co2-inflator)...

Hope it's a long time before I can comment on whether it's any good or not, but I read some positive reviews so fingers-crossed.

Another option: Silca Eolo works well for me.

I use the second wind inflator/mini pumps. No issues over the past decade. Twist to pierce and turn a bit to initiate flow. Pretty easy. And i like to preinflate tubes a smidge to shape them out when installing so the minipump is awesome for that as well as backup duty if i run out of cartridges

Honestly I can't remember what mine are. They're not marked. I think one is Genuine Innovations, maybe.

Anyway, I've been considering PDW...

I've had good luck with Genuine Innovations, don't want to "invest" in anything high end for this purpose..

I like this combo unit that is tiny. Works great as an inflator. The pump is a good bailout option, low capacity, but also tiny. I keep it in my jersey pocket.

They have inflator heads only also mentioned above "shiny object", I haven't used that one however.

That's what I have.

I like being able to regulate the air flow, and save what's left for what usually ends up being a top off...

I try not to use mine much.

I have both the shiny object and fatty object. Both work amazingly well.

I think the flow regulation point is over stated. When in need I stage the tube with a mini pump. then I hit it with C02. the critical juncture is making sure the head is attached so when you release the CO2 it all goes in the tube. in the old days a 12g would fill enough to ride home, now a 16g is enough to keep riding. once the cartridge is empty, that's it. I don't care to mess with a 20 or 25g cylinder for 700x28 since any leftover doesnt last or e than a few days so might as well just empty the cartridge and be done

I have a device from Genuine Innovations that I bought many years ago and is no longer made, its similar to their Ultraflate but sleeker and less bulky. It uses treadless cartridges which is what I really like about it. All in all it doesn’t take up anymore space than just an inflator head attached to a CO2 cartridge. The newer version is bulkier and not near as convenient.

I also have the Shiny Object from PDW and have used it 5-6 times. If I were to loose it today, I’d order another one. Excellent product.

I recently asked the same question and ended up with a Lezyne. No flats so no review but it seems nice

+1 on the lezyne. Tested it in the garage, and the valve allowed a small amount of inflation to prevent pinching the new tube. Inflated after to what seemed like the right pressure, using the crude thumb squeeze test.

A week later there was still co2 in the cylinder, so it sealed pretty well. I don't know that I would take a partially-used co2 cylinder on a long ride, but my experience was that the valve sealed well.

I have a Genuine Innovations (GI) Second Wind pump that is also a CO2 inflator. It works well as a pump too. No longer made, unfortunately. I also have a GI Microflate Nano. Simple, small, flow can be throttled, it just works. I do think that the CO2 inflaters that use unthreaded cartridges (cheaper) and enclose the cartridge so you don't freeze your hand, are the best kind, though they weigh more and take up more room in your pack.

I had one of these too but it was so old it wasn’t working right. I wish it still did since 12g threadless cartridges can be gotten at Walmart cheap

Simple. Light. Works.

Unless I'm on a group ride or in a hurry to get going again, only used as a back up to my minipump.

I did have an issue with one a few years ago where the metal "valve cone" cracked. Probably a freak accident from how it was packed in my saddle bag. Didn't affect use at all.

In general, because I use them so infrequently, I do a yearly check with them to make sure the cartridge seal is still good. I had an experience once (with another brand) where the cartridge seal was old and crusty and when I screwed in a cartridge all the air ran out before I could realize what was happening.

Another vote here for the PDW shiny object inflator! ive had mine for years, still works flawlessly. I like being able to regulate the flow of the CO2.

I had to use my Genuine Innovations Microflate inflator this morning, for the first time in probably 5+ years....took me a little bit to remember how it worked (screw in cartridge, and then back off start and to control inflation).

I was about a mile from home.....no time to spare so I had to head back after changing tube. I just bought some new tires and was meaning to change the rear tire...figured current tire had a few more rides in it. Guess not....

I have this one, and it does work, but its main strength is the size and weight. What I'm less thrilled about is the need to either install the valve nut or hold on to the tube when you depress the cartridge, as the spring is a little stiff. I'm not always in the habit of installing the valve nut, especially roadside trying to go fast. It's a good inflator, but I might try another when this one fails (it rarely gets used to be honest)

Just used it once - swichted to tubeless 2 years ago - but it
worked well and is really light and small:
