I did a brief search here but couldn't find what I wanted.
I'm looking for a bright front light to make myself visible during the day. The one light I kept meaning to put on is quite old and I found out today that it doesn't fit around my 31.8 bars. Looking for something easy to use and rechargeable .

I've got my rear covered, so to speak, with my Dinotte Quad.

What's your favorite front "here I am " light ?

been looking at the Light & Motion Vya lights (front and back)....USB rechargable, easily detached, some smart tech (auto on/off) as well.....seem pretty cool.

Also, this is very effective on your helmet. Assuming you wear one.

Lezyne KTV Drive for me.

Even fits around my head tube so I put it there since the bars space is taken up by a bell and camera.

I've had good experience using Lyzne rechargable lights. They have some blinky lights that are bright and very small.

Light & Motion gets my vote. A bit more expensive than a blinkey light, but I don't think a blinkey light is effective enough.

I too have the Bontrager Ion 200 and have been very impressed with the brightness and battery life.

Make sure you also buy this clip (https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/equipment/bike-accessories/bike-lights/bike-light-accessories/bontrager-tail-light-seat-pack-clip/p/14217/?colorCode=greylight) for it

Thanks everyone.

Yes, @Charliedid I do wear a helmet but not sure about mounting a light on it.

This has worked well for me. Battery life is similar to my Varia so I charge em both at the same time.

Understood.

I mainly use it at night in the city not a day road ride.

Knog has a range called "Blinder" which are available in a few different sizes, cost-effective and suited for a blinky application for front/rear.

The brilliance of the Knog's Blinder is the unit itself plugs into a USB socket, instead of the unit having a female socket in-built. This means water ingress doesn't happen anywhere near as much.

They also have a unit called the PWR which is modular - you can remove the lens easily and interchange it for a MTB style lens, or even just use the battery itself as a power bank to charge your phone etc. It's also pretty cheap as far as being a big lumen front light.

The other great thing about the PWR is it has one of the most effective mounts that I've found in that you can mount it under your bars, and it tucks under a garmin out front mount super neat.

Hard to beat for the money and does a good job when you’re caught in the rain too. 4 settings with the last one being a “pulse”.

Dinotte make a great front light. The latest one I have has three sources in the light with a number of options for light pattern in amber.

The new version is a front Quad. I have the new rear Quad and it is great too.

Knog Blinder is my daylight light. Very visible and a good range of patterns. Reassuring on country foggy mornings when most people are barely awake.
