I would like the fork to match the frame's color. Any recommendations? The usual filters apply.. quality, price and so on.

Please advice!
Thanks

The 1st thing the painter will ask is if you have the matching color in hand.

Would be best to find someone local, so you could bring the frame.

If that doesn't work or isn't an option, Franklin Frames in Newark Ohio is hard to beat for quality and price. I'd recommend shipping frame and fork to get the best results.

My spouse damaged a steel track frame in a race crash and sent it to Bilenky for repair. He rolled out the damage, and then painted over it, impressively matching a complex paint color that had a subtle sparkle to it. If you're really close and touching it, you can tell that the toptube isn't QUITE the same as the rest of it, but if you're more than a foot away you can't tell that they're different at all.

If South Bay = California, just take it to D&D Cycles and don't think twice about it. https://www.yelp.com/biz/d-and-d-cycles-san-lorenzo

Velocolour painted an incredible camouflage fork for me a couple years back. They are very good like they were ask to paint a bike the City of Philadelphia gave to the Pope good.

Or paint both the frame and fork at the same time and treat yourself!

Thanks everyone for the tips. I guess I'll go with something local.

Absolutely bring it to Rick. He does incredibly good work, including a ton of Rivendells and older Salsas and Ritcheys.

Well, I've been trying to contact d&d cycles for the past couple weeks.. seems like they might not be open. Any other shop around the South Bay you could recommend?

Thanks!

Did you call or email? He’s a phone guy. You could ask someone at Rivendell if he is still painting, they work with him a lot.
