These sandals are great for multi-day summer tours when there are thunderstorms day after day. I hate soggy cycling shoes and socks.

I used to own a pair (25 years ago) to roll around town in. Being older, and hopefully a little bit wiser, and having had my share of crashes and mishaps over the years, I’d no longer ride in shoes without covered toes. If there was a cycling sandal like the Keen sandle with a toe cap, I’d be more inclined.

I have a pair on order and am pretty excited. The fact they match my new bike was just too good. Since I have been avoiding group rides and park laps, I've been doing tons of rides to the beach, around Jamaica Bay, and to Montauk. These will be perfect.
