So I’m participating in a Strava challenge this month. Recognize, I still work so getting an hour to two daily and maybe 3 hrs on Sat and Sunday is a bit of a challenge in and of itself. So I’m on the bike 11-15hrs a week, I consider that a reasonable effort. I was just looking at the weekly stats, and the leader has 31hrs this week, 10hrs a day? More surprising almost 500mi over this period.

Not sure, I’m guessing some of it could be on a trainer... but... what else can you really be doing but riding a bike 🤪

so for 3 days the person has 500 miles? STrava week starts Monday right?
something seems very sketch there lol.

Eh, it really depends on the person and the time of year, no? If I'm bikepacking I'll cover 120-140mi in a day for 7-10 back-to-back days. When I was at peak riding commitment I was logging 25-30hr/week on top of a pretty demanding job (lab neuroscientist) and a relationship (married). These days I am reserving more energy for farm work which means 15-18hr/week.

Already Thursday in some parts of the world :) Doesn't seem that unreasonable.

When I was on Strava I was connected to people who legit had the time to ride that much.

They didn't need to work or something.

Damn I really am a casual cyclist - I do my 20 miles per day a few days a week and a 30+ mile ride once a week and I thought that was good !

But it also is 8 miles per day running/5x week too :)

So he is averaging 1704 mi/mo for the last 3 months...57mi/day. So not too crazy, but that would still be about 3hrs a day... not real crazy

No way he rides that much and actually has spacers....he wouldn't dare show his face that often with such a janky setup
