Has anyone ever taken apart their old Time (Criterium) pedals?

Looks like a C clip that keeps the axle in place?
Are there loose or cartridge bearings in there?

Any point in removing the top plate held in place with two torx screws?

Any tips on things that might shoot across the room upon opening this up?

There's a cartridge ball bearing at the threaded end and a needle bearing at the far end. Remove the c-clip and the whole thing should slid out. There's no access under the cover so no need to remove it.

Thanks Dave.

It took a bit of force to get the axle out.
A wafer thin ring ended up shooting across the floor when the axle finally gave.

No idea where it was positioned. Does anyone know what order it goes back in?

Ring goes in first.
Got the NDS out a lot slower with a bench vise, 16 mm cone wrench and a rubber mallet.
