I ordered some carbon spacers off ebay to adjust the position of my stem. My bike’s steerer tube js 1 1/8 and the spacers are also labeled as 1 1/8 according to the seller but they move a little on the steerer tube. Is this normal? Below is the ebay listing and said movement in a video. Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the diameter is a bit bigger than steerer tube? I’ve had that before and no problems, when stem pushes down it should snug them up.

Just saw video... I’d say the movement is fine. Just remember it should extend slightly above the steerer so the top cap presses on spacer and not steerer.

Yeah, the lateral play is fine, but you're going to want at least 2-3mm more spacer stack so your top cap can create preload on your headset bearings.

Adding on to every one saying it's fine, but also want to say the video was SUPER helpful - we need to start linking videos more when asking mechanical questions.
