Looking for ideas for a under downtime third bottle cage mount if not needing 3 water bottles. Bike already has a pair of cage mounts.

Tube/tools in a container held on by standard cage?

Cargo cage that the bike packers usually use on the fork legs?

Some sort of "bento box" that install using bolts/braze ons?

Any other thoughts?

I like this a lot on my mountain bike, fits tubes/tools/etc.

I went with this one on my gravel bike:

I mounted it to the third bottle mount on the underside of the downtube. What I like about it is that I've got my saddle free to mount my Exposure tail light and there's no saddle bag that's rubbing on the dropper.

The bag gets plenty dirty in that location though.

I love the idea of using the underside DT mounts as a mounting point for a rigid carbon fiber or hard rubber or such material protector to ward off stone damage etc.

I've not been able to locate an aftermarket version. Anyone know of one??

This looks great. The mounting bracket just secures to the bottle cage mounts?

That bottle is for my 4 legged riding buddy.

That's what I did. The odd thing is that the instructions show attaching the mounting plate (included) to the B-RAD base (not included). I didn't know this when I bought it, but I just mounted the mounting plate to the bottle cage mounts and it's been working fine. One other thing I noticed is that on the first ride, the contents in the bag settled a bit and I had to stop to tighten up the strap.
