I remember when ebay was constantly having the coupons that worked on anything, those were the days.

They still throw out some 10% back in points things, but yeah, those were the days. I think the big difference is they are likely splitting the cost w/ the vendors on these new types of events, whereas they were covering the previous ones straight out of pocket w/ the (always rising) fees.
