i have a pair of XC 90's in my rotation. very stiff and comfortable, but thia weekend i noticed that they are coming apart, basically the glue is failing.

These are not a "low end" shoe, but honestly, I have never had thia happen on a premium shoe, even after many years of wear.

Shimano warranty is one year... even on workmanship

sheesh

How old are the shoes and how much "mileage" on them? If they are in good condition and only a few years old, I suggest contacting Shimano. Good companies want feedback on their products and will often stand behind them even if out of warranty. It's a win-win: you may get a replacement or repaired product, the company gets product durability/longevity information and customer appreciation.

I dont have photos, basically the toe guard is coming off on one shoe, and it appears to be extending to the last.

Happy to send pics if you have an email address

i thought about calling Shimano, the shoes are probably 3 yrs old, been wearing then about 7 months. stored indoors and always dried between wearing. I did not call because I am sure it will be an adventure

I had the same thing happen to a pair of Giro VR90. Not much to do about it.

I had the same thing happen but caught it in the warranty period. Sucks.

Is it beyond the capabilities of Shoe Goo?
