Hello I was at our bike coop yesterday dropping off some parts and came across something interesting. Whenever I go there I ask where the good cool stuff is and I found an Assos Crankset. It is a 52/42, 130 bcd, square taper and 170 length arms with drilled out chainrings. It looks really well made and I did a little searching last night and was wondering if anyone has more information on these. The internet said they came with their own bottom bracket and tool also. Can I use any bottom bracket as long as I have the right taper and axle length? Specifically does anyone know what the taper would be, is it ISO taper JIS taper?
Thank You

Not sure who made it, but Velobase says made in Switzerland, so maybe Edco? Also appears standard threading. Nice looking crankset:
