I can't believe that people have nothing better to do than put cyclists' lives at risk just for fun. :help:

The victim is an ex-pro motorcycle racer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miguel_Duhamel.

Senseless and crazy.
Miguel Duhamel is not just any ex-motorcycle racer, he is an AMA Superbike Hall of Famer. Impressive rider.

..and son of Yvon Duhamel, a noted, highly regarded world class snowmobile and motorcycle racer. He’s remembered as the lead rider for the Kawasaki factory race team in the 70s. Yvon is in both the American and Canadian Motorcycle hall of fame.

Didn't Yvon Duhamel set a qualifying lap record at Daytona on a Yamaha 350, going over 150 mph?

Yup, 1969. It was the first time that a motorcycle, of any displacement, qualified faster than 150mph.

Yep, both Miguel and his Dad Yvon were motorcycling racing superstars. I spent a little time Miguel during his racing years and he was respected and liked by almost everyone. Great sense of humor as well. Car was a flat black 350Z...I would hope the cops could easily track that down.

PS: Looks like Miguel was riding a LOOK. Good taste.

That area is beautiful. I've wondered what it would be like to ride the loop. The bro in the purple GT3RS who was intentionally falling far behind the other cars, just so he could accelerate again and again, made me think you'd have to be careful.

The cell coverage is nonexistent, at least on the day I was out there.

Man that is terrible someone would do that!

Wow Miguel Duhamel was a favorite racer of mine & I even had a 600 Honda done up in his smoking Joe Camel purple/yellow scheme back when

My cousin was national caliper racer in the 70's, track and road. She was presenting her dissertation in Las Vegas, 1984sh, out training to blow off steam, she was hit by pickup left for dead. Was in rehab for 6 months, now lives in assisted living home.

"“I keep touching it, I don’t know if there is still a piece left in my head if it penetrated or not,” said Duhamel."

I'm very sorry. Let her know (if appropriate) that others are thinking of her.
