I needed to change the front caliper of my Trek Cobias because the Deore caliper was leaking.

In a moment of upgrading components without knowing too much, I ended up buying a Deore XT (M8100) caliper and thought it would be plug and play. But of course I found out that XT/XTR use the banjo connector while the Deore uses the screw in type. So I figure I need a new brake hose.

Questions:

- Is the XTR M9000 cable compatible with the XT caliper? Something like this:

- Is the brake lever connection the same for all hoses, i.e. If I buy the cable above, will the other end connect ok with the Deore brake lever?

- Lastly, can I buy a banjo connector and adapt to the existing cable? Something like this where I can cut the end of the existing hose and add to it?
