Anyone got favourite Canadian-based online retailers? I'm having a bit of trouble finding a few items locally and am trying to avoid international shipping delays and costs.

Nothing like a Chain Reaction but my go tos are Urbane and Velotique here in Toronto and they do ship.

I’ve bought a few things from La Bicicletta before.

https://labicicletta.com/

Usually though when or ordering online...I stick with ProBikeKit, Wiggle, or Ribble.

Usually reasonably fast, and very rarely any duties.

Another good one locally, depending what you need is MEC.

From the other side of the country (Quebec), I've ordered from

Pretty big chain in Quebec, decent sales end of year
https://www.primeauvelo.com

Never ordered from them online, but they're also local

Quebec outdoor chain, under bankruptcy protection, I ordered during covid, took a month to ship haha

For helmets and clothing, decent deals can be found, but they mess around with their MSRP vs savings prices so don't assume the deals are great. They often do 50% off, so always a good time to order.

Their main site is

Never ordered from, but decent deals to be found (saw some kid's stuff deals but in the end never ordered):

I ordered my wife's POC from here. I thought they were BC based, but the helmet shipped from Quebec.

Sorry I got sidetracked into accessories more than parts... which yeah, I'm like the others. I go to my LBS or the euro places.

Forgot to mention spokeservice! I'm sad they're closed for June, but understand. I've had quick service and shipping in the past, and really happy we can get spokes quickly instead of praying/hoping for whatever the local shop has. Shipping 28 spokes costs way too much from the US!

No so with Wiggle anymore. They've started using Skynet (shipping agent / customs broker) for mailed items. Just got hit for 32.00 of duties, taxes and handling fee on a 130.00 order.

Last time I ever order from them.

I ordered from this shop https://velotique.com/

Also visited when I'm in the GTA.

Blacksmith Cycles is a nice shop. Have not been to their current location.
