I'm gonna guess this was on a to do list and lockdown made it happen.

Prob not the real Phil Anderson.

Magnificent.

The other Phil -- Phil Collins -- should've made music for the Tour. His style would work on the canvas Tesch created.

I've got links to a number of tracks from the 88 Tour bookmarked.

CBS used a lot of Yanni tracks too back when Tesch was covering the tour with CBS.

Thanks for this - music from the 87-88 tour was terrific and really captured the spirit of the race.

If you want the music from the CBS coverage of the 87-89 tours you will want to get the Yanni albums: Out of Silence and Niki Nana.

That John Tesch jam makes me think of a Miami Vice montage, salmon and seafoam linen suits.

No, can't take credit when this guy put stuff in his description. Looks like he's updated a bit too. I guess cuz links do disappear on Youtube.

Great stuff here; that's my era:banana:

Curious if anyone can find Tesh's Head Clobbers online? My google-fu hasn't come up with anything. I had one of his albums from the Tour on cassette tape  and back in the day used to do intervals to that with a Sony Walkman in my jersey pocket... Yeah, old guy:cool:

Please don't tell anyone-I have BOTH of John Tesh's Tour de France CD's.

That's almost as bad as saying I own Barry Manilow discs.

I was teenager watching Stephen Roche win the ‘87 Tour, this music, despite what you might think of it, evokes a sense of a far away place where bikers were cool and races were magnificent. Thanks for posting this trip down CBS Sunday coverage memory lane.

+1 more for those introduced to pro cycling in '87 which is arguably one of the most exciting Tours (since '87).

This is my experience exactly. :)
