Slightly concerned these Enve tubulars might be fake. Haven't emailed the serials to Enve (yet). Wondered if any one could chime in.

I would just run it by Enve

They look like real enves to me.

A lot of the fakes have some pretty easily identifiable giveaways ie cheapo hubs and spokes, exposed nipples when they’re supposed to be internal, obviously wrong rim shape or carbon pattern etc. The wheels pictured seem completely consistent in construction, design, shape, and carbon weave/layup as other enve wheels I’ve seen. Furthermore, I have a hard time imagining someone lacing fake rims to Chris king hubs.

Why do you think they could be fake?

Might sound a bit daft but I’ve a set of Enve 4.5 tubular rims I bought last year (just waiting to have them built up). They have the same gen 1 brake track as these 3.4 tubulars but on the rim bed on my 4.5’s one can clearly see the carbon weave. In the photos these looked more like moulded plastic (LOL)

Do the spoke holes look molded or drilled?

They look extremely close to my 1st gen 3.4 clinchers. Same rim profile and same carbon surface texture.

Fake clinchers is one thing, but are people actually faking tubulars? Wouldn't think demand is sufficient.
