Looking for a little feedback

mostly curious.

Never seen them before. The photos look to put your wrist in a worse ergo position than normal bars do. Don't think I'd ever try them.

They look intriguing, but at $329... Not gonna happen.

Riser bars that then deflate? Odd.

Seems logical, but also seems like a fix for a non-issue.

And the guy behind Eyropro seems to take offense in those comments. LOL.

FYI... https://eyropro.com/

CyclingTips has reviews of both the Wave and the Eyropro:

If I spent lots of time on the tops of the bars I might like them. I don't know anyone who does that.

A related question, a little OT: mountain biker riders seem to think they need very wide bars to control the bike. Gravel riders and CX riders will ride on the tops with what are effectively very narrow bars. Which group is doing it wrong?

A friend lent me a set of these bars to try out. I have mixed feelings about them. I really like the shape of the drops. The tops are a different story. In my opinion, the tops are too high and reduce the reach too much. If I go from the hoods back to the tops, I'm sitting up a lot. I feel like I should be casually pedalling around town on a cruiser bike. I don't want that feeling on my either my roadie or my gravel bike. The angle of the tops is a little too much for my taste as well. I've been playing with stem height and length to see if I can get things to feel better but I don't think I'll keep these much longer.

Extended climbs. Apparently you don't know anyone who does a lot of real climbing.

CX riders get off and run where MTB riders plow through. Gravel riders are on very forgiving terrain, comparatively.

I guess not. When riding RAMROD, how much time does a person spend on the tops? Not a very big proportion in my experience. But as they say, YMMV.
