Congrats, you earned it!

Bike ride sounds like a good idea. Or not - linger over your morning coffee, read the entire paper front to back, whatever the hell tickles your fancy!

This time next year I'll be graduating with my MA in American History. I plan on transitioning to adjunct online instructing for the local community college and call that retirement. I'm looking forward to that.

Congratulations!

When I retired 5 years ago, the first thing I discovered is that you do NOT have to be busy all the time. Take time to enjoy the little things and the big things take care of themselves.

Congrats! Hope to be in the class behind you. 18 months & I really hope to be winding down. Maybe 1-2 days a week, if I still like what I'm doing

Congratulations, a celebratory feat for sure.

I can only imagine you have seen the educational pendulum swing a "few" times in all those years.

been retired for 4 years.

haven't had any trouble filling the time. riding, swimming, yard work, house projects, lunches with friends, travel...

on the rare days that I feel a little restless or bored, I just recall the misery of commuting in rush hour, attending endless and pointless work meetings, performance reviews, etc etc etc...

enjoy your freedom!

[QUOTE=steelbikerider;2726547]School's out forever! I finally made it out of jr. high after 35 years.

Congratulations.

I know for a fact that you deserve mucho happiness and joy for a very long time.

I've taught middle school math for a quarter of a century.

Very few of my teaching friends ever wanted anything to do with middle school students. I thrive in the middle school setting and you must have as well.

Thanks for your years of service.

Congratulations! You have touched many lives 👍🏽

My wife's last day is June 5. Quite the unconventional circumstance in which to step away, not being able to say farewell to her class in person. It's a moment she had anticipated for a long time. Having some issues getting her head around that.

I admire you and her and all those who teach our young people.

Woke up, had a leisurely breakfast while the roads dried up, went on a 40 mile ride
before lunch with temps in the 70's and lower than normal humidity. That's as good as it gets it SE Texas this time of year.

Now I get to start planning my Spring Classics Holy Week trip for spring 2021 or 2022. Life is good.
