Need to change derr. housing and cables. Can't tell exactly how housing and cables are routed through the frame. Anybody with some advise on best way to install? Thanks in advance.

My in house mechanic says that you need to run a guide through when you take the old cable out and attach the new stuff to the guide to pull back through.

There are some special tools that might help but this frame has no internal guides.

If you already pulled the old stuff out you are pretty well sc@@@ed without them.

Definitely this. If you haven’t removed the old cables yet, get a good length of housing liner (the plastic/Teflon stuff inside the housing) and feed it over the existing cable from end to end. Makes cabling an unfamiliar bike way easier.

I can’t remember if it is the Altum or the Z5 that expects housing from the bottom bracket back to the rear derailleur, but the rest of the routing was pretty standard through a guide snapped into the bottom bracket.
