With my main consideration being puncture protection, opinions about new Specialized Armidillo Elite, vs. Continental Grand Prix 4000 ? 700x23 Thanks

Buddy of mine says that Armadillo Elites are by far the best puncture resistant tire.....however, i'm still waiting for the Conti GatorSkins (3500+ miles and counting) on my training wheels to blow so i can try them myself.

GP 4000's. I was out yesterday and two different guys punctured on those Spec tyres whereas the GP4000 riders went over the same glass and were OK. Could be chance as a small sample but I have 3000 K on them and no cuts let alone punctures. Plus the GP4000's roll and feel superb IMO so you can have best of both worlds. I doubt you will be disappointed with them, easily the best all around tyre I have used.

I have had zero flats on 3 sets of Conti UltraGatorskins and they ride quite well at 90-110 psi. I gave away the only set of Armadillos I tried as they rode like they were solid rubber. I also like Ruffy-Tuffys as bullet-proof and nice riding tires but they are 700x27 and don't fit some bikes.
