Curious as well as I may get another setup so I don't have to remember to move it from bike to bike. I've been carrying the DynaPlug Carbon Ultralite, but when I bought it it was about the only option.

I've got a DynaPlug Racer.

I've used it twice, once successfully.

Currently carrying around a Stan's DART. But luckily haven't had to use it yet. Before that I used DynaPlugs with success.

Dynaplug.

I have the "Racer" version, which fits within my Blackburn Switch multi-tool pouch.

I think so. Saved me the one time I had to use it. I have the little purple dynaplug pill nicely machined with all the bits inside.

If you use Stan's sealant, the Stan's Dart works awesome. I haven't tested it with other non-stan's sealant but that combo is intended to work together.

I'm using the cheapo GENUINE INNOVATIONS TUBELESS REPAIR KIT. Its $6.00 for several plugs and has worked every time.

These kits work well on ... Err. Larger road tires? 28-35. Slicks?

I've tried to plug a 28 and the pressure I ran (70#) made it a no-go. MTB, all day, even my gravel bike which has 40's that run at 40ish will work well. No joy with smaller tires due to the pressure. If you can get home with lower pressure on a smaller tire, then patch the inside and you're good to go.

i tried a dynaplug (unsuccessfully) on my mtb...

using stan's darts on my road bike but havent had to use it yet...but the plug itself seems to have more surface area so in theory should seal better

Get a Dynaplug. I like the Racer. It’s an American company and made in America. The quality is overkill but they work flawlessly. If there is a time to buy American and support American manufacturing it is now.

I have dynaplug but tubeless has been so good to me that I have never used it. Seems pretty nice. I bought the carbon one because its the lightest and cheapest... $25. I was like why spend $50 for the expensive versions that are heavier :-)

Another happy Dynaplug user here. Bought the micro and have it in my jersey pouch. Now I'm just waiting for someone to 3d print something that will hold a CO2 on one side and the dynaplug on another.

I assume this a rare problem with the Dynaplug:https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200514/dadcc3aa4abf03863249e1ace00ca4ce.jpg

It happens but I would not consider it a problem.

I've successfully used the Genuine Innovation bacon strips on 28s and 38s.

Currently carrying around a Stan's DART. But luckily haven't had to use it yet. Before that I used DynaPlugs with success.

For those considering the DART plugs - they are meant to to be used specifically with Stans sealant. They are coated with a compound that accelerates polymerization of Stans which in conjunction with the fabric fins helps seal larger holes.

AFAIK, these plug kits are for larger sized holes, and not for small punctures like thorns. When your sealant isn't working for a thorn puncture, and you're out on the road, I'd recommend using a tube rather than ream out a much larger hole in the tire to accommodate the plug, thereby compromising the casing. That forked end of the Genuine Innovations tool is pretty big to be jamming it into a tiny thorn puncture. And if your tire beads move to the center well of the rim, you might as well break out the spare tube because you probably won't be able to to pump up the tire anyway with a hand pump. Just my opinion here as I have both Dynaplug and Genuine Innovations kits, but haven't used either yet and I may not ever.

I heard they work well but only work well with stans, they work like crap with orange seal which is what I use.

Been our experience as well. Have to say in brand for the Dart Plugs.

Does this mean you are no longer carrying tubes? I've not changed a tube in at least 2 years but still carry one on every ride.

On my MTB. I don’t bother on the road. I carry a couple of Tubolito tubes and a Park tire boot.
