I want to buy a pair for Campagnolo Bora WTO 33 or 45 (clincher version). I have an old Ti Serotta with an F1 fork (tight clearance). The WTO rims are wider than traditional rims. The WTO wheels Campy states will fit 23 and 25mm tires. Will this work on my F1 Fork? Will 23mm tire width work and look ok on the WTO wheels. These wheels are designed to work with tubeless tires. These are carbon wheels. Do they really work and is this a good idea? I am using the rim brake version. TheWTO 45 wheel version is heavier than the WTO 33 which one should I get?

Thanks.

one issue to look out for is with wider rims, the brake shoes might not fit between the fork legs. I tried to run HED Belgium+ rims with Ultegra 6800 brakes on a Lopez (F3) fork and this was the case. You might be able to space the caliper away from the fork more, but I chose not to.

The brake calipers are in front of the fork blades.

Do you mean the brake calipers may stick out to the sides beyond the fork blades? This looks ugly and not aerodynamic.

I've got conventional rims (Ambrosio Evolutions--they measure slightly under 19mm) with Vittoria CX 25s mounted on my CSi with the F1--and they inflate to pretty close to a true 25--and that is as tight as I would want to be.

I would not want to go wider on the rim--with what I have, there is a small amount of clearance top and sides--I would think that a wider rim with a 25 might give a little more clearance on the top, but would be too wide.

(Brakes are 10 speed gen silver Centaurs skeletons)

I have a Bora WTO 45 on a Falz v2 fork with Vittoria Corsa 2.0 (25mm) that measure 26.7mm in width inflated. The tire is just slightly wider than the rim and there is no issue with clearance at the calipers, though you'll likely have to open the quick release to mount the wheel. I also have a Serotta F2 fork on a Legend Ti which has 23s mounted on Neutron rims. Not sure how the clearance on an F1 is different than F2, but the F2 should work fine with Boras using either 23 or 25.

Should you get the 33 or 45?......Depends on what kind of riding/climbing you do and what you're looking for....

F1 has very little clearance between the underside of the fork and the top of a 700x25 tire on Open Pro rim. F2 has much better clearance all around.

I have neutron ultra wheels on the bike now. I believe they internal width is 15mm. The Bora WTO internal width is listed at 19mm. How much wider will the 4mm make my tires. I am guessing about 2.5 mm or 1.25 on each side. I think I can live with this. Can anyone please confirm my assumptions?

Theoretical measurements, likely going to need to do some practical experimentation unless someone has tried your exact setup.

I run roval clx 50s on my Peg duende and marcelo, both with falz1, with conti GP5000 25s, no problem.

the rovals are wider than the WTOs, i believe.

I guess I will just have to pay my money and take my chances.
