...Or is everybody on a Reynolds/Falz? Particularly curious about Responsoriums, Marcelos and Duendes. Cheers

Subscribed.

I am in downsizing mode but would give in for a pegoretti team.

A 10 year old BLE, no one has ever been able to tell me the manufacturer of the fork. Trigon and Mizuno have been suggested. The frame is currently in for a repaint along with a new Falz to go on it.

I like the curve of the fork on your Responsorium.

Large radius curves just look good.

the forks were mizuno - ouzo pro- edge - enve - trigon - falze 1.0 - falz 2.0

at 10yo thats def a trigon. plus, it looks like mine (trigon)

on any frame other than lui, a steel fork is pretty rare

I've been a member here for many years. I mostly lurk, choosing to live vicariously through those better suited to ride these rolling works of art.

I've only said (written) this once, about Grant's Richard Sachs (metallic tan with yellow lettering, for those who remember):

This is the best bike I've ever seen posted here and most certainly my new favorite of all time.

Just perfect.

One aesthetic question: Is the slight appearance of a downslope a mirage or what?

I’ve had 3 Pegoretti bikes and don’t think Dario made anything but a dead-level (road) frame
To paraphrase Dario he likely would have said that anything else “hurts my eyes”

This is gorgeous. Can anybody confirm the tubing sizes of the responsorium vs a Marcelo? There was a BLE on eBay a few months ago with a steel fork and the fork looked way out of place.

I emailed him about this - he said he'd do it for small frames, like sub 50 frames.

I had a Reynolds on my BLE (sold), and a Falz on my Mxxxxxo. I cant tell the difference. He liked horizontal top tubes, the longer head tube to minimize spacers and a set back seat post. He also appreciated it when people used Italian components. What a nice man.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Re: the 30mm tires....not really. It will spin without touching but it's far too close for comfort IMO; in the back there's no way one would fit. It will take most 28s though - I did try one that was too tall but the others were OK. I took that pic to demonstrate the difference in clearance between Croce d'Aune and Record Deltas and I included it here since it was the best shot that I had of the fork crown.

Yes, the top tube is level.

The Ergos have a subtle change....they are silver Ultrashift 11, which Campy never made. The bike was purchased with Chorus11 and I installed the brake and shift levers from Athena11 onto the Chorus bodies.

Can anybody confirm the tubing sizes of the responsorium vs a Marcelo?I believe that the tubing on both is the same size except that the Marcello has slightly larger seatstays.
