Shopping for shoes I found good prices on Sidi. 92 bucks for genius 7 shadow? Seems pretty good to me.

I order from them all the time. No issues. I've never ordered shoes before, but all the clothing, tools and even a fork arrived without a problem.

+1 - Merlin is the most solid UK supplier in my experience.

Never a problem.
Just ordered parts for new bike recently.
Smooth as silk except parts were left in Pennsylvania
for three days during processing.

That is a pretty sweet deal. Lots of sizes available too. Trying to remind myself the last thing I need is more shoes.

I ordered from them few times without problem. All orders arrived 7-10 days (including weekend) and I'm in California. I've saved hundreds of USD on Sidi, Ceramicspeed, etc.

Having worked in a couple shops I thought it was pretty good as well. They aren't making nearly as much per pair but have a lot in stock to sell. My Sidis were 12 or 13 years old and replaced velcro staps once. I loved the shoes for the comfort on my feet even with a mortons neuroma. YMMV.

Wow, thank you so much! I just ordered a pair also.

Does anyone know the difference between Genius 7 and the Shadow?

I already have a pair of regular Genius 7 but doesn't hurt to get another pair at this price and leave the other at the trainer.

Just cosmetic difference i think

I use them regularly. In fact, I recently had an issue with a defective tire and they took care of it quickly and painlessly. High marks.

No issues with Merlin thus far, and I've ordered many times.

No issues with Merlin. May not be fastest delivery in current circumstances with transatlantic flights scaled back.

Just one data point, but a recent order from Bike24 in Germany took a full month to arrive.

Agree with Clean, best experience I've had from an overseas purveyor.
Great price on a Chorus 12 group, pretty responsive customer support, and arrived very quickly.

Very reliable, great prices and I've had good luck with their shipping while living on both coasts...waiting (due Friday) on parts as we speak!...tires/Praxis parts
Merlin is usually one of my first go to shops to order from..

Great past experiences but shipping is VERY slow right now. Waiting on a crank for over 2 weeks now. :/

How do you folks like the Genius 7? I love Sidi but my last two pair were higher end with full carbon soles. How do these compare. And this version on sale is the normal width correct? Currently using Shimano RP9 with a very stiff full carbon sole. I really do like them.

i have the genius 5 and has similar nylon/carbon sole... love it. it's my go to shoe as it's not pretentious and lasts forever. they look nearly as good on the uppers as they did 4 years ago. i think it's more comfortable and flexible. i do not race so i don't need more noticeable stiffness. i wear it and forget it. i have older sidis with plastic soles that are less comfortable. the genius is a good middle ground. this listing is for normal width, which is far narrower than shimanos. i can't wear shimanos because my feet swim in them, so if you like them maybe try on some sidi megas

Thanks, cinema. Not sure if my prior Sidi's were mega. I see those cost a bit more. I certainly have more room in the toe box with the Shimano shoes. Likely to just stick with them as they are really nice too.

Got my new Sidis and they are the same size (43) as my old ones but are so small I cant even close the Velcro all the way. Gonna send back. They are markedly smaller than my 12 year old ones. Hoping a 44 works...….Are others finding the new ones are smaller?

In looking at other website on these Sidi shoes, it does say they run small and to order a size up. I too wear size 43 for many years, that gave me pause.

just a further comment on shipping...a recent order was "Despatched" on 4/29 and received in AZ yesterday 5/8...7 business days, not bad in these uncertain times

that doesn't sound good. hope they still fit the same as my genius 5. still a 43 according to the size chart listed there.

I went from a Sidi Genius 5 to the Sidi shot both in size 47. If anything the new Shot is roomier than the older Genius 5.

shot and wire known to be roomier in the toe box than the genius. confirmed by trying them on a couple years ago. both incredibly nice shoes.

finally got these. took them for a 50m ride today and they fit just the same as my old genius 5. they're basically the exact same shoe to my feeling.
