View Full Version : Bleriot oh!

Finally fell to the temptation of 650B. 59cm Bleriot with the typical Velocity Synerygy rims and Deore XT hubs, Col De Vie tires. Built with less traditional stuff like STI and the new Silver side pull brakes.

Oh what fun it is to ride. Never had a semi-fast fat tired thing like this. It's all the goodness of, let's say, a Rambouillet, but you get to go cush on 50 lbs of air instead of 110.

Would like to try slightly smoother tires for the next experiment.

Variety has always been the spice of my life and thought I'd probably had enough 700c's in the stable.

the new Silver side pulls from Riv work remarably well. Riv puts them out with Kool Stop dual compound pads, cables, housing, etc. They look good and stop this thing really well. They appear extremely well made.

The frame itself, while coming from someplace very far away, also looks good, at least on the outside. A well executed wet paint job where the paint color intersections at the lug shorelines is reasonably well done.

A Saluki or a Bleriot? I'm sure both work well and look good. An interesting marketing approach from the man at Riv.

Beautiful bike, Twin! I couldn't figure out why you would want to sell that great looking CSi of yours. Now I know! Do you ride it more than your old bike?

:)

I use it for my commutes all the time and I have ridden some longer distances and have many more miles to look ahead to. I like the way it looks and for a lower price frame its everything I could want. I do not race so not a problem. I do like the versitility it affords on all kinds of surfaces at least in my area. Thanks
