PARIS (Reuters) - France will contribute 50 euros per person towards bicycle repairs after a nationwide coronavirus lockdown ends on May 11, taking an innovative step to encourage cycling and keep cars off city roads.

Nice move, IMHO. It should be a welcome boost to LBSs in the country as well.

I’d have put this in the corovid19 thread, but it is also about climate change and reinforcing the gains from cutting down on vehicle use during the pandemic.

Some insurance plans have wellness benefits that cover bike repair costs. I've made up a few invoices for friends to fix up their bikes. I'm honestly amazed it's not more common.
