... and a very nice Mariposa!

Lots of photos at http://www.mariposabicycles.com/recent.html

The "mountain bike" is fantastic, and even more so in person (I saw it at the Ramble). And of course the Barrys are charming and erudite...

I remember looking at that bike on his website last year. Gosh, it's pretty.
TT, does that mean you've been digging around the Mariposa sight thinking up your next ride?

The pic says it all yo.
"Pass the dynamite, 'cause the fuse is lit."

Bwaaaa hahahah. Are you kidding me? Mike Barry build me a bike? That would be like asking F.L. Wright to raise his doorways to 6'8" so tall people don't have to stoop to enter the living space. Nice thought but I know the limitations of skinny steel.

She won the "Thrift Drug Classic" in Pittsburgh about 10-11 years ago.On a solo breakaway, she was pushing a -massive- gear with a cadence of about 60.I said she cannot sustain such a gear/load but I was quite wrong. I think she actually gained time on the chasing pack.

Quite an athlete.

It's a custom Mariposa, built by her dad-in-law, Mike Barry, per Dave's link above:

Beautiful bike, from the photo and on closer inspection.
