Has anyone used one of the re-pop "Campy-style" steel pump heads from Electra?

~$22 on eBay vs. about 2x for actual Campy 1030/2

My interest is 100% function over form. Which works better? Not a stitch of Campy elsewhere on this build...

Still have a few Campy heads on Silca’s, so no experience with the Electra. At that price, it’s worth trying. They’re so simple, if the rubber chuck material is good and it holds adjustment, what’s not to like?

This is amazing! I haven’t seen Silca frame pumps in at least 25-30 years or more! So is there that much demand that someone has to come out with a copy?! I am actually using an old school Silca frame pump on one of my bikes, with the proper Campy pump head, and know the rubber gasket/washer is still available. If this copy is the same, then it’s worth trying it!

Note, anyone know where to get the rubber feet covers as one of mine is wearing out!

Good Luck!

I went with the Electra, it is quite nice. Fit to the Silca pump is perfect.

I look forward to nestling its little arms around the seat lug.

Have you people not gotten the weight-weenie memo yet ???

Frame pumps add so much unnecessary weight. :)

Re: the gasket, one year at NAHBS I asked Josh about doing them in the new material and he said that there wasn't much of a demand for them so it was unlikely. I needed a new one so I decided to take a gamble and try the 323 gasket (https://silca.cc/products/silca-323-chuck-gasket) which is made for the Silca rather than the Campy head. It's not exactly the same, the diameter is a bit smaller, but if you center it in the body and screw the head down it will hold it in place. I've used that pump for a few years with it and had no problem. I think the material of the new gaskets is superior to the old ones and it fits on better IMO.

Note, anyone know where to get the rubber feet covers as one of mine is wearing out! Here you go...I have a set of these and they quite nice. I'm pretty sure that the person who makes them is a member here.

Thanks for the link to the rubber tips. If you want the original washer, Mike Kone of Boulder Bicycles has plenty of them and sells them in packs of 10 for $7.50 or 13 for $9.50:

I've had a partial pack of the washers on eBay since forever for $3.00--9 of the 10 still in pack.

I can't remember what happened to my last Silca pump, so I have no need for them:
