Mixing 8/10 speed

Quick question here.
With the lockdown going on my wife wants to try my Kickr, her bike is Sora 8 speed and my trainer has a 10 speed cassette, wondering what happens if you put a 8 speed bike on 10 cassette?.

Changing the cassette every time is to difficult so that isn't a practical solution

it wont shift well.

as long as she doesnt need to shift a ton, she should be able to find a gear in the middle of the cassette that works without skipping and she should be fine.

should be no big deal on the trainer. not ideal, but workable IMO.

I agree with Nick.

Other option is to get her 10s shifters and cassette. Certainly not an expensive upgrade especially if you shop around.
