Looking to rub a Campy 36/46 crankset on my gravel bike. Question...do I need a CT front derailleur or would any standard do?

Thanks and apologizes if this had been covered...i searched before I posted but didn't see anything. Thanks again!

I use a standard centaur 10 speed fd with my campy ten speed setup using a 36-46 cross crank. Shifting is perfect.

I use a standard front derailleur with my 34/50 rings. I have wondered if a CT front derailleur would help prevent chain drop onto the bottom bracket shell under extreme bouncing, although it has never been a problem with my current set up.

Believe that 36-46 is from a Cross group. Don't know if the group included a FD specific to that set up.

Well I'll start with a regular one as I found one for a good deal and go from there. Totally appreciate the help!

The regular FD will do IME with 10 speed record, actually with record 10 you can put anything in the front, even a triple shimano FD.

With 11 no idea.

Campag had CT front ders for a short time and found that a 'normal' fder works as well, maybe better, and dumped them. shimano simply raised their max toothe difference from 14 to 16 with compact cranks. BUT for 10t difference, any front der. If you SR(11s), Record or Chorus, 10s or 11s, or any ERGO 2006 and older, any 11s 2009/2010, really ANY front der..even an 's' one.
