I came across this on CL and was wondering if Paceline could ID this bike for me.

I'm not affiliated or interested in buying, this is pure curiosity/boredom.

My best guess is a Grandis (maybe 80s?) with an unoriginal fork.

Gardin or maybe a smaller custom builder? Nothing really jumps out at me to identify.

Guessing someone here will know.

Quick search on google images confirms the G as Grandis.

Grandis, Classic Rendezvous has a nice version of the posted bike

That must be an early version I remember the headtube being engraved and not the lugs

Agree that it is likely a Grandis. No matter what it is, it has nicely thinned lugs and nice detailing. Looks well sorted and well worth the price.

Judging from the long rear dropouts, the non-recessed brake nuts, and the Cinelli style crown I'm guessing early 70s.

Cool bike. Unfortunate lug cutout for those of us with our minds in the gutter.

+1 looks like a super old grandis but the fork is off, maybe was replaced at some point, that fork looks like a tange or something.

Great components, if the guy can go to 350 is not a bad source of parts if the frame is too big.

I spoke with Alessandro Grandis this morning, This is in fact a Grandis made in Verona Italy. It's from the early to mid 70's.

Good call on the brake nuts. Those definitely do seem to make the bike older than the 80s

Mine usually is, but I guess I missed that.

I wish that was my size. I'd love to have a classic road bike that fit 32s
