my Whisky carbon mid-reach rim brake fork weighs 385 grams. what would a really good steel one weigh these days? 300mm steerer.

I can say my 2015 Custom Carl Strong IS Disc 'All Road' fork after I cut the tube is 1.6lb And it has the long IS welded disc bracket for 180mm rotors.

It is 260mm after being cut.

That is the same weight as the original Colnago steel fork from my 1985 top of the line SLX frameset came with FWIW.

My wound up 1" steel threaded steer tube is 1.16 lb, steerer is 8"
