I found m sock it was stuck to the side of one of my shoes.

Unfortunately it was not the speed of my ride which ripped the sock briefly from my poseesion, but wanting for dry feet after the ride.

several weeks ago past the midpoint of a 56 miler, i made a quick stop along a rural road to adjust the rear derailleur. on the ground below was a small unopened package of goldfish crackers.

the package was still airtight, so ... scarf! i still can believe i ate those fish.

Found a Quad City DJ's cd this morning. Should have left it but the wee 1/2 pale scotsman likes that kind of stuff, so home it came.

I found that csb and Kevan are going to the Bloomin'.

Shall we have a Serotta-pals ride-thing? My wife and I and friends will be coming up from the City.

You are correct per usual. I didn't notice it. I always have lived in the past, anyway.

I found Sandy out on a country road sitting in a cart holding a stick. I tried to tow him in but he kept poking the stick into my back wheel so I cut him loose with a sandwich & a Kit Kat bar.

Hey, I was ok with it. I figured if Kevan loved something and set him free, he would come back to him eventually.

William ;) :D

See you at the Bloomin'

CSB and KEVAN,

Are you talking about the bloomin' Metric in CT on May 22, 2005? My friend just emailed me to ask if my wife and I would like to ride that. I think that we are going to try to ride it.

Yup, that would be the same Bloomin' Metric, but from last year's event.

I have every intention in participating in this year's event. But I have to tell you that this ride has in the past 2-3 years become incredibly popular with something like 3,000 participants. Parking and registering last year was a bit of a boondoggle, so I suggest that you allow yourselves plenty of time getting up here and ready to roll.

This ride is a spring blessing and a foundation for road enthusiasts. The route is beautiful, and well supported. When registering, come with your helmet and expect to return back to your car with all the swag booty you collected from under the tents during registration.

Certainly, we can try to meet, but I find it's a bit frustrating with all that goes on to get ready to ride. Usually what works better is an agreement amongst us to meet at say 7:30 and allow 5-10 minutes for people to show. If no show...then go! Otherwise, we agree to break hoagie together, after the ride 11:30-12:00ish. I think lunch is served…

What say ye?

Worth the drive down to Norwalk for this ride?

what's another insect at the picnic afterwards? Sure it is... come on down!

I would only do it if the weather's behaving. We could get you down Saturday and show you the streets of NY. Oh yeah.. you live in NY. Then the streets of Westchester!

Watch it, we're a tough group, especially when our fancy coffee's not just right.

What say ye?

Sounds great. I will have to find out if we are in town that weekend. I would love, if anything, to at least meet at the post ride lunch. If we can't catch a few miles together.

I will start a new thread about for this ride in about a month to get things finalized if you want?

BTW, we live on the norwalk/darien border so maybe we should just bike there instead of trying to drive and park? (all are welcome to use our driveway - well at least as many as it can hold)

Tsk, tsk! So flippant! And here I WAS planning to be a nice guy and wait until mile 20 to drop you like bad habit! ;)
