I purchased this new last September. It is the titanium GR270 with Force 22 mechanical and hydraulic brakes. The bike arrived in perfect condition. I changed the bars to carbon and used a different saddle. The Vision team 30 wheels I used with Panracer Gravel King tires, 35 and with the small knobs, and I got a set of DT Swiss ER 1600 and use the Panracer Gravel tire 32 with file thread. The bike is solid and no problems at all. Rides well, comfortable and stable. I've always been a Campy user, but really like the SRAM Force. I recently changed the tires to a tubeless set up. That really made it come alive, more comfortable and responsive. It is perhaps a bit heavier than carbon, but I like it and have complete confidence in the bike.

My GR260 will be two years old in July ... 15,000+ miles with no problems.

Been a great bike!

Thanks for the update. It’s good to hear some longer term feedback on Lynskey. I have a buddy that rides an older Helix and has as long as I’ve know him, so maybe 7 years. He’s replaced the groupo multiple times, fork, and headset but the frame is doing fine. I’d guess he easily has 50,000 miles on it and I could be low by as much as 25,000. It’s a road bike but he rides the crap out of it and doesn’t baby it.

I have a R140 that I bought used 5 years ago, supposedly only a few hundred miles on it when I purchased, and have put close to 25,000 miles on it. Just picked up a GR300 back in Jan and hope it turns out just as well.

I broke my custom R460 road frame I had built in 2008. I did it on my Computrainer. The weld between the chainstay and the drive-side dropout broke and a crack developed at the weld between the BB shell and chain stays. (See photo below). I’ve ridden the bike a lot, since 2008, and it has been great.

Lynskey was going to replace the frame under its lifetime warranty. It is letting me pay a reasonable amount to swap my frame for a Race GR frame. I also am purchasing a Lynskey gravel fork.

I don’t see myself doing gravel rides alone in the woods during the Pandemic, and I don’t want to shell out money for a compete bike now. So I figured I’ll gradually build the frame over the next few months. I will need to purchase a new gruppo and wheelset to build the bike.

I’m looking at the new SRAM Force AXS 1x. I’m over 215lbs and don’t like the low spoke counts on most of the factory-built gravel wheels I’ve seen. I’m leaning toward some Aluminum HED Belgium Eroica rims with good hubs. I don’t know if it’s worth the expense to purchase carbon wheels.

My plan is to have a bike built well before Farmer’s Daughter, if it does go off in September.
