While the reading the Serotta roll call I was more interested int the older bikes. Didn't see that many pre 88. How about a roll call for all the Colorado steel bikes with steel forks. 1988 and older. HOW MANY are still ridden?!?!

Mine:
1985 56cm Colorado, lugged head and seat but bottom bracket is tig welded, steel fork with Ultegra 9sp, serial # is 4 digit 65**
Origianl paint of red and yellow fade and could be mistaken for brand new but gets about 6k a year on it. If I'm wrong about the year....educate me.

Guess there's not many 85 and older Serottas out there. So........ we go with 1993 and older or if you still ride a steel fork.
Surprised me I only saw one other bike listed!

1992 Colorado LT, with a custom steel fork.
Tried various carbon forks, but the balance of the bike was off.
The front was just a little too "light" for my taste.
Riding a steel Serotta during the early 90's was way kool,it always got many looks.
The bike is a keeper for sure.... :)

but a late 90s? csi, with a steel fork, full chorus 9 spd, and Mavic wheels. 54 x 54 cm. Nice ride!

Actually, any help on dating this frame would be appreciated!

Your frame is newer than '96 or 97 because you have cable stops on the headtube. I have a 96 CSI I bought new with down tube bosses for shifters or cable stops. Mine also came with a braze on F Der mounting which was aparently standard at the time, but not available on later CSI's.

Here is my 96 pic (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpost.php?p=266475&postcount=1)

Stock frame with a 58 ST and 59.5 TT. The frame came with a steel unicrown fork that never tracked straight. I added a F1 and it rides like a dream.
Can anyone give a ballpark figure on what the weight difference would be between this bike and a new 60 cm HSG Ti or IT? I'm not a weight freak, but I'd be interested in knowing. The new HSG looks like a nice stock frame for someone needing a long top tube.
