A solitary ride but a beautiful day

“Ordinary life is not just about the self. If it were, we should not have survived long as a species. The interrelationship among all things and all beings is fundamental to this journey we are on, and should be celebrated.”

You and the bike look great, the weather is also looking good, and if events like a serious accident can have any upside is the renewed appreciation they bring to all the things we take for granted. I was sidelined for a year after I got hit by a bus and I had a few very painful surgeries a long time ago, so long that it feels like it happened to someone else. Although I still carry some (fortunately very mild) of the physical sequels, there is not a single day that I don't remind myself that everything can go to sh***t in a second and therefore I better live in awareness and appreciation and gratitude. Good luck and keep it up.

Welcome back, friend!
Good to hear you’re well enough on the way to recovery that you’re back at it.

Seeing your name and reading your posts always bring a smile to my face. A bit of a scary thought, I think I've read most of those 18,000 posts. Hope you are well.
