Comfort bike on trainer?

Hi - Need some help. Do you think this bike will fit on a trainer? It doesn't have a quick release. Don't have access to it,trying to help a friend see if this will work and if so what model of trainer would work.

Bike is a Specialized cross roads step through.

I think most QR based trainers would work with nuts.

I have used a track bike on my trainer, and the nuts held fine.
