Is it a link to have you log into your account? I think that is how they hack your account.

No link, it’s as I submit offer this message immediately pops up. It’s through the eBay app and have used for many purchases but never got blocked on making an offer before! There is nothing to click other than to go back to search.

I'm suspicious. I once was blocked by a seller, but the message didn't look anything like this. Plus there's a grammatical error in there.

As some say, "it's a feature, not a bug."

There's a setting in ebay that allows sellers to activate this protocol, as it weeds out bots and other bad actors who can constantly buy items but never pay for them.

Best bet would be to ask the seller to disable the setting if possible.

No phishing attempt bug, nor other weird conspiracy theories. Just a simple tool that sometimes has unintended consequences.
