Campagnolo brake levers need smaller heads on the brake cables. I end up buying shimano or jagwire cables locally and using a hand file to reduce them a bit. I guess I could buy campy ones but they are rare around these parts and expensive to order. Does anybody make generic brake cables (not cable/housing kits) that fit into ergo levers well?

Another alternative to Campy cables is Yokozuna. My LBS buys the big bulk box that carries like 100 cables and sells them for like $4 each. They come in both 1.1mm (Campy) or 1.2mm (everyone else!). The mechanics at the shop says they like it better than Campy cables and they're an "authorized Campagnolo dealer!" Lol

Errr i guess i should buy some as well.. though 11 speed and higher really need the expensivest $15/piece ultra slick cables.

Really? I get it for the shift cables, but brake too? I use SRAM cables, they work just fine.

Dremel the cable head, sure you have a caliper, just dremel it down and good to go.

Jagwire makes campagnolo cables that fit both systems, but the shops havent figure it out that the only cable they need to buy is the campagnolo ones and good to go with everything in the market and dont get crazy because the campagnolo guy shows up and they dont have the cables, well is better to get the campagnolo cable sets tho.. but anyhow..... And if i was jagwire i would just make the campagnolo ones and listed them as shimano and sram compatible, but since people is a little bit OCD... guess what it could happen :P

If you think the 11-speed Campagnolo cables are expensive, check out a set of 12-speed Maximum Smoothness.

Wiggle's store brand (Lifeline) brake and gear inner cables both come in Campagnolo heads, and in my experience operate more or less as well as the genuine article.

A full campy cable set, including shift and brake cables / housing, can be had for 40 bucks. That's good enough for me.

If I need one cable, I'll usually file down a Shimano one. I'm used to doing it for Simplex shifters anyway.
