Well guy's and girls my name is Aaron I am new to the board. I live in Victoria B.C. Canada. The weather has been hovering around freezing :( Today I had the opportunity to try a couple pairs of cold weather gloves and here's what I came up with.

BBB weatherproof 3 ply gloves
Price $69.99
Warmth / very good
water resistence / very good
Comfort / 7
Overall rating / 7 out of 10

Activa Stormfront gel
Price $49.99
Warmth / very good
water resistence / very good
Comfort 9
overall rating / 9 out of 10

Overall I found the Stormfronts less bulky with much beter bar feel.
I also noticed that when climbing out of the saddle that the inner liner in the BBB's tended to allow my hand to move around freely while the outer portion of the glove gripped the bar's well. That feeling was disconcerting:crap: Just my thoughts.

I feel the Stormfront glove is the best glove out there.

Thanks CRRM, that was helpful.
I've found that some amt. of neoprene works really well.
Have not tried them, however the Specialized winter gloves
with a removable liner look real nice.

I ordered up one size.

These look nice as well:

Glove choice should be no different than clothing choice. Layers. I use several different windstoper gloves: Santini, Gore, Manzenelli (?) and if it's close to freezing I add a pair of liners underneath. If it's wet I bring a spare dry set in the pocket for later.

I've used heavier gloves. No thanks. You can't ride your bike with ski gloves. Might as well be on a trainer.

These things look killer! Just ordered up a pair. Two miles downhill at 25-30 mph is how I start my commute. Double gloved, I'm only comfortable down to about 2 degrees. Looking forward to giving these a try.
