My bike was knocked over a week on the drive side. After some inspection, I thought the rear derailleur hanger was bent so I ordered a new one. After replacement, the rear derailleur was still bent. The bottom jockey wheel slants into the rear spikes. The top jockey wheel does not seem effected so much. With some pressure I can bend it in but after releasing the pressure it just goes back. The rear derailleur is a SRAM Red ETAP 11sp. Is it possible to fix this? If so has anyone been successful?

Often, new hangers, when installed, are not all that straight PLUS, the piece of the frame where the hanger goes may be tweaked also..As has been mentioned, gotta use a tool to check der hanger alignment. Often, cages will have the top pulley be in plane with the cogset and the lower pulley, not, also.

How does it shift?

I did check it with a park tool dag 2.2 (I think that’s the name), it was off a couple mm but I made very small adjustments and all seems good now.

I tried shifting but when it gets to the largest cog, it shifts between the top and second cogs. I can’t get it to settle on either cog. On the bottom cog it will stay and shift normally towards the top. Also when I get to the top cog if I adjust the rd out, it will start to catch the rim spokes.

and there is a chain in it right? asking because etap you must have a chain in to actually tune the derailleur.

Everything said above, additionally... pay attention to the b tension screw. Really messes with how the pullys line up on that that particular derailleur. Back it out until you have trouble getting it into the easiest cog and then run it in about a turn

It's easy enough to change out the cage if you're really concerned

edited to add: ditto with the mounting bolt.
