I’m looking to buy this tandem for my son and I. He’ll be 12 in July and about 4’11”. I’m trying to determine the best option to fit him on the small stoker. I’ve researched the Davinci child stoker option as well as crank shorteners. It looks like the child stoker kit is geared towards smaller kids but not sure if the adjustable cranks will give me enough adjustment. The seat height in the picture is for someone about 5’2”.
Suggestions?

depending on how much extension you need
stoker extension kit - basically a clamp+extra crank+chain to drive

If that's set for 5'2" and you need 4'11", just lower the seat! Might need to get a longer extension for the bars.
If lowering the seat doesn't work, I'd build up the pedals. Too tall to throw your money at a child stoker kit.

^ this.
the stoker saddle can be slammed and no issue as the stoker does not need standover...balancing the bike at a stop is the captains responsibility (hook the nose of your saddle on your hip)

Hi floxy1, I have a Santana tandem currently set up with a child stoker, I will be removing it soon as my kids have outgrown it. Let me know if you are
Interested, PM me, it works well, looking to pass it along for a very reasonable price.

The child stoker kit is a PIA and there's no way a kid that tall needs it.
Get some crank arm shorteners.

Probably 9-10 years old as I recall.
