Serotta and Calfee win Cat's Hill

Ben Jacques-Maynes of Sierra Nevada (on his Serotta) and Karen Brems of Webcor/Alto Velo (on her personal? Calfee) took the men's and women's races in Los Gatos, CA on May 8th. That crit course is tough, with a 23% climb mixed in for good measure. Of course, Karen is simply amazing, continuing to win races after her so-called retirement (she won the world TT championship, USPRO title, and competed in the 2000 Olympics during her career). Well, those boys and girls can ride!

She has won this event seven times since her first win in '94. Another interesting fact is that Greg Lemond won this in '78. Since he was born in June 1961, that would put him at 16 or 17 years old!

Karen Brems of Webcor/Alto Velo (on her personal? Calfee). Yep, it is her personal Calfee and not a team-sponsored bike. The Webcor women are supposed to be getting bikes from Dean. I don't think they're riding them yet.
